Position: Data Communication Analyst

Duties: Design, test, evaluate systems for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) – Wi-Fi, Mobile WiMax, UMTS, etc.; design, test, and evaluate In-building converged wireless networks supporting multiple wireless voice and data services on a single broadband infrastructure using radio frequency (RF) over hybrid fiber/coax backbone; consult customer, conduct site survey, and determine present and future need for applications and infrastructures; perform network modeling, RF propagation analysis, and planning for hardware and software solutions; research multiple vendor products and services and make necessary hardware and software recommendations; analyze existing network compatibility and recommend hardware software upgrades; design and implement Internet Protocol and technology based software applications to remotely monitor network assets; work with other engineers, systems analysts, programmers and technicians in designing and writing data communication troubleshooting guidelines and support procedures.

Education & Experience: Requires Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely related.  Will accept a MS degree or BS plus five years progressive work experience in lieu of a MS degree.  Any suitable combination of education and experience is acceptable.
